Medical Tattooing Billing Services ("MTBS", "we", "our") operates www.mtbs.ink. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do about it. It covers this website only. Patient health information we handle as a billing service is governed by our HIPAA obligations and the authorisation you sign, not by this policy.

What we collect

Information you give us. When you submit a form on this site (contact, get started, demo request, the artist questionnaire, or a provider request) we collect what you type: typically your name, email address, phone number, business details, and whatever you write in the message.

Patient authorisation forms. The MTBS Patient Information and HIPAA Authorization Form is hosted on Google Forms under a business agreement that covers protected health information. Information submitted there is used to pursue insurance authorisation and payment on your behalf, and is handled under HIPAA rather than under this policy.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites we record standard analytics: pages viewed, approximate location, referring site, device and browser type, and how you move through the site. We use Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager for this.

Cookies and analytics

This site uses cookies for analytics and, where you have contacted us, to associate your activity with your enquiry. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work. We do not sell personal information.

How we use it

To answer your enquiry and provide the services you asked about
To determine insurance eligibility and pursue authorisation and payment
To send information you requested, and occasional updates you can opt out of
To improve the website and understand which pages are useful
To meet our legal, tax, and regulatory obligations

We share information with service providers who help us operate: our customer relationship system, email delivery, hosting, and analytics providers. They may only use it to provide services to us. We share information with insurance companies and healthcare providers where that is necessary to obtain authorisation or payment for your care, and with anyone you have authorised in writing. We disclose information where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry records for as long as needed to serve you and to meet our legal and accounting obligations. Billing and claims records are retained for the period required by law and by our agreements with insurers.

Your choices

You can ask us to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop sending you marketing. Email info@mtbs.ink and we will respond. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights under state privacy laws, including the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell personal information.

Security

We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.

The provider directory and some resources link to websites we do not control. Their privacy practices are their own.
